preludes are fast?? mmmm no lol they are slowwwwww even if they are 220 hp or whatever the Vtech one is they are the heavy honda

dude, i'm not sure what you're talking about. My buddy had a '92 Prelude Si non-vtec that thing hauled A$$. it was a sick car, i could have probably kept up pretty good with my gst if he still had it. it was almost bone stock too. only short ram in take and exhaust.

dude your GST would eat it up... you dont relize how slow they are till you race them. Trust me the Vtech ones run like 15.1s or something they are slow cars. your GST bone stock runs a 15.1. now that preludes Vech with $1000 in mods might run a 14.6 where as your car with that would run high 13s. if you do the right mods

i must give credit to the F150 my friend has one withteh 5.4 non SC and he put less 1000 in it and it is down to the 8.7's in a 1/8mile. he even has more HP than the Lightening

Stock lightning runs a 13.8, that 1/8th mile that your buddy runs is about a 13.5 in the 1/4. So he basically just sprayed it. My friend has a 02 lightning pushing 540hp to the crank... its just not right.

My uncle had a Dodge Daytona Pacifica with a twin turbo w/intercooler. That sucker was fast for only a 4 banger.

yes, but as you can read before, it was the non-vtec. sure the vtec are kinda fast but the power comes from the vtec. the Non vtec has about 160 HP, which is pretty good. Sure, I could probably win in a race, but he would keep up. It was crazy though, NO JOKE, we believe the dude before him had the car turboed. There was 3 in piping all the way back hooked to a stock looking muffler. plus other interesting details under the hood and around the front bumper that suggested turbo. Yes, they are heavy cars, but i don't think you're giving them enough credit. it was quick!

quick is the key word right there...they are NOT fast cars, my car is not a fast car IMO really though lol. a non vtech you would destroy a Vetch would hang with you. I beat a Vtech lude stock barley with my 3G V6 spyder that had cold air and cat back. My spyder was a mid 15sec car. that is slow. Ludes are not heavy but in the honda world they are.

Like I said fast with some money put in but half that money into a GST or even something as dinky looking a a Spirit R\T and it cant hold a candle to it. Only truely quick hondas IMO are s2000, NSX, RSX, and Vtech civics(that is me giving the civic the benefit of the doubt to)

yet again i don't think we'll fully agree.

I've always liked the preludes, they have a lot of potential with the H22 and H23 motors.

you should have checked the oil pan, if the pan was new or had a dump fitting caped it was probally turboed.
