Well, I have a 2000 eclipse gs and I don't really know what to do with it. Im thinking about buying a gt when I pay the gs off. But i was wondering it would be easier to jus find a v6 engine and do a swap with the stock gs one. Or would it just be cheaper to sell my car and spend like 2000 more on a gt. Because I already bought appearnce stuff for this car like a aluminum spoiler, clear taillights, billete grille. Thinking about a lip kit, anyone know where I could find one of those? And would it be easy to switch all those parts to the gt if I got one?

Thanks

why do you want a GT?? the GS is much better to make fast than the GT I have had both in the past and trust me the GS is MUCH easier to work on. if you want a lip kit go with Wings West or ShineStreet both are nice looking kits for the 3G. I think it would cost less for you to install the tearstone turbo setup then it would to get rip of your car for a GT or think about swapping which I dont think can work anyway.

Ya my friend said that it would cost alot to beef up a gt engine to get a turbo in it. So in the long run I would be better of with sticking with a gs and adding mods from there? What would I need to add to get it ready for a turbo?

Your GS is ready for a turbo stock the stock motor has been boosted up as high as 17 PSI I think with a good tune and driven for wuite some time... and at 8.5 PSI it made 275WHP that is 100WHP more than a stock GT motor. If you look at the tearstone kit it has everything except gauges and a clutch. it is much better and can make more power on the I4 stock motor than the v6 stock motor.

Basically the GT cant take higher than 8-9 PSI the GS\RS is safe at 15 daily if you really wanted it that high
