Hello everyone, I am Derek From Wisconsin and Just traded off my 3rd Gen. Camaro for a 1997 Mits. Eclipse GSX + Cash Deal. Now I am looking to you guys to teach me about this Eclipse. I have never messed with an import. Looks to be a bunch of fun! If anyone could point in a direction where to start with this car that would be great!!! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the site. Lucky bastard, I've always wanted a 96-99 GSX lol. :-p Anyway...imports are wonderful things. Try www.performancecenter.com for some parts. Probably want to start with simple things like the intake, exhaust system. Upgraded pulleys, camgears. Things like that.

What's up dude. I'm trying to get a GSX too. They are AWD and turbo charged. They're really fun. Silvertooth is right though, start off simple like Intake, Header back exhaust system, and stuff like that. I don't know how to wire piller gauges, sorry but u would usually get some instructions with the gauges and u can always buy a special manual for ur car like from Hayes. It'll tell u how to take ur car apart completely and put it back together.

Yeah. One thing you can do it buy basic repair manuals from your car, plow your way through that, reading it cover to cover, then move onto specialized books to get info on all the aftermarket stuff.
