I've got a 99' Mitsubishi Mirage De coupe, well it has a 4g15 (1.5) engine and this spring i want to buy an eclipse engine and put that in there. After the engine is in installing a turbo and converting my automatic transmission to manual. I've got all the resources including money. Just wanted to know what everyone thought about it. Should i go on with the swap? Or throw that idea out the window?

I dunno if what your gonna get would be worth the money personally... But if thats what you truely want and have your heart set on... Nothing that you want to do will be cheap though...

Alright well ive found a 95-99 4g63T engine for an eclipse in the area for $600 to put in my car and it has the trasmission and everything on it. So instead of just a non-turbo engine i got a turbo one. Now is it worth the money?

I think that motor only works in the older mirages (NOT possitive) but the newer ones I think need the EVO VII VIII motor because if faces the other way.

what side is the throttle body on? on the stock motor

throttle body faces to the right, air filter and battery are on the right also, and i looked at the turbo eclipses and all that is on the left side, so you might be right. But is the regular 4g63 engine the right way?

Yeah, but that's a cool idea though. You're basicly converting ur Mirage back into the Evo it was except for the AWD. Good luck with that.

there have been people that have converted a mirage into an evo including the AWD as well.
