did anyone remove their resonator...I think that's what it's referred to, looks like a small muffler half way through the exhaust. If so, is it as obnoxiously loud as I think it would be with an aftermarket muffler? Will the decrease in backpressure be counterproductive?
I know buying a new catback exhaust would be a better idea, but don't have the $$ right now.

stock muffler near gas tank was ditched in favor of a magnaflow a while back. I'm talking about the "glasspack" looking device about under the passenger seat, maybe even back to the rear seats. I heard that some cars are sensitive to backpressure changes, don't want to find out after the fact. I wanted to just replace with pipe and thus my exhaust would be : manifold, cat, magnaflow. Any suggestions?

sounds agressive when accelerating, quiet @ low r.p.m. ..... most commuters will be suprise to hear the growling intake / exhaust, during traffic jam. some will wonder/look around esp. theres no pocket rice around them...lol.

talking about the resonator......yeah i, got rid of that thing. it aint that loud when removed, but will vibrate from the outside, which is pretty cool. try to set car alarms in your neighbor w/ that thing. lol

hmm...magnaflow sounds cool....but try flowmaster. some say flowmaster have more agressive sound, like uhh that V-6 sound.

Had a flowmaster on my 02 Trailblazer and didn't like it too much, I reserve flowmaster for v-8's now. That would set off car alarms like you wouldn't believe. I went into parking garages just to set off the alarms that were too sensitive. Wow, I'm a jerk.
