Picked up the new wheels today and the compass won't register anything NORTH or EAST.  Anyone else have this problem?

Needed to be calibrated.  Easy procedure, but not in the manual.

My compass doesn't work and also the outide temperature guage doesn't work.  The remaining mileage indicator still works.  Anyone else have this problem?  I've tried resetting the compass but nothing works.  It's stuck on SOUTH and no matter which way I turn, it stays on SOUTH.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

It's a 2003 Montero. My outside temp guage has 3 dashes "---" where the temperature should be.    The compass is stuck on South and will not move, however everything else seems to work (eg. the remaining mileage). Strange.  Can't seem to get it to work.  Strange.
