I know the rx-7 isn't slow, but I think I oculd beat him, because I'm a better driver than him, also because i have a higher top speed then him. I don't know about the mustang, would it help if i would buy new headers, and a bigger throttle body, and also NGK sparkplug wires? Would those things increase my accerleration more? right now, i'm driving with ripped headers, and also a waterpump that's leaking anti-freeze, and a clogged throttle body. And i beat the rx-7 who came from behind, and tried to pull a cheap shot.

that RX7 is slow I bet... if it is non turbo it has to be just high RPM power they have no TQ at all. the Mustang has better top end than you since it has a bigger motor and those mods you mentions will only be minor except the header if you have an aftermarket header already than that wont change. and for your throttle body justclean it with carb cleaner instead of buying one.

I think you will Crush the RX7 but I think the mustang has the edge on you. even with the automatic because if you dont just floor it the auto wont just spinn tires but if it is just floored then the tires will spin for a while

that little pause is prob either wheels still hoping or your rpms dropping down fron spinning. and what are you replacing the throttle body for? it is bad or broke?

And Ill agree with you about the GSX it has much more potencial than the 420a but if I were you id just buy a cheap 1G 90-92 GSX and mod that they have better motors than the 2Gs. It all comes down to looks I guess me personally I like the look of the slpeerish 1G over the 2G anyway

And yet again, we meet Emonz. Sorry, but I think the sleeper 2Gs are so much better. I met a guy who owned a 2g GSX the other day. Funny story for another forum conversation. anyway, the outside looked all stock, had the RS looking spoiler and a nice paint job, that's it. That's until you popped the hood. Had the upgraded turbo, all the bells and whisles that came with it, and had some exhaust that wasn't loud. a nice deep tone, that's about it. Seriously, if i pulled up to this guy and felt like racing him i'd be sure i had this RS beat. That's until he launched on my ass and i heard the BOV. hahaha.
The 1g eclipses...eh...don't get me wrong, i respect my elders and they're fast and sick cars...but i think it'd choose a 2G over a 1G anyday. That is my story and i"m stickin' with it.

BTW emonz, I really don't go looking around forums to disagree with you. i just happens. hahahaha

Well it still may look like it was slow, but also he must have a front mount on that car so their is the biggest indicator, and what has he done with his guages, are those hidden as well. When it comes right down to it, unless a 2g has a 6-bolt swap, the 1g is better for modding, hands down. If he doesn't have the front mount then most likely its not that fast.

well depends on who you're talking to. You work with a bunch of Eclipses, mod them, etc for a while and sure, it may not be that fast for you. But when you come from driving a 1.5L Honda Del Sol, It was fast as a bat out of hell.
Just makin' my opinion count. I guess what i also wanted to say is I think the 2g's are better looking in design than the 1g. Again, all personal thinking, but just watned to share

yea i know what your saying. I had a tiburon before my awd talon. I loved how fast the talon was, but like anything else, it gets old and you need something new. Thats why my new project should give me a 10 sec monster.

Not to disown my DSM roots, but we are look for something different to do, there are way to many DSM's in my area. We will have to line up TheEngineer's DSM that "HE" is going to build, against the NewEnglandSpeed MR2..........Should be interesting.........

What ever you need done. Just a side note, we are not going to be a vendor, just so you all know its a custom work and install shop. We will have to see where it will go from there
