My Check engine light is on on my 97 Montero Sport. Is there a generic tool available to read the code and turn the light off for a reasonable price anywhere?

take it to a mechanic thats what i did for my GSX, and then they will check whats wrong, but mine had nothing wrong and the lights still on and they just said to no tworry about it
