What would be the best things to do to increase the performance on my 1995 eclipse gsx?
I was thinking i should go with a new intake and maybe exhaust.
This is going to be done on a bidget. Eventually i would like to do almost anything i can to this car other than NOS

Get a extenal dump o2 housing and a down pipe first. then get a boost guage and an MBC that way you can safely turn the boost up to 15 PSI But on the stock turbo i wouldn't go past that. You can gain 10 HP per psi you increase. A freebe would be to remove the BSC restrictor and cut out the plastic from behind the intercooler and put a metal mesh it the place. Also with 95 and 96 turbos you can grind away on the bumper at the opening to your intercooler. You colud also get hard Intercooler pipes but you would have to get an intake for the hard pipe to fit.

Boost. the only replacement for displacement.

God created turbo lag to give V-8's a chance.

MBC = manual boost controller. That is how you tun up the boost. You can get those everywhere oon ebay. most of them on there work fine.

I would definetly get an intake. and a boost guage with this also. An exhaust definetly isn''t a bad idea either.

Yeah definately let the air out before worrying about getting the air in. More air out=faster spool time.

I was just trying to stay within a "budget". and i know that when i was young i couldn't afford to put a good exhaust on my car. Thats why i got an intake and a muffler, welded on.
