About month ago, I got a brand new 2006 endeavor.

After, a demo through roads carefuly planned by the dealer, I thought I was getting a quiet and smooth car, like my

old 2003 Buick Rendevouz or my older 2000 Grand AM... However, this car's engine is extremely rumbling and noisy when you barely

touch the gas, or even worst after 55 miles and hour.

The high rumbling of the car makes difficult to enjoy any ride. No way of enjoying the 6 CD player or the DVD. The

initial dealer and a second dealer said, that this is "normal" in an endeavor.. ( This is a $32K car.!!)

Does any one have solved this issue?. This has become a major nighmare for me and my family, specially when we are bound
to a 48 month lease. Any help here is appreciated.

Things I lost from my Rendevuos and GrandAM. (My fault,, I assume this price car would have this):
- No HomeLink.. Now I have to carry three garage openers
- No place for glasses. (Only a hole for a garage opener that it is not functional..)
- No air in back
- Doors don't lock automatically, when the car gets in motion.
- No fog lights!!
- No remote for back door
- Smaler back mirrors
- ... bear bear

FUEL ECONOMY: The sticker fuel efficiency is 17MPG-22MPG... I drive mostly an empty 55MPH HW.. but still quite poor fuel efficiency of 13.92 to 16.67 MPG. The computer says 24 MPG..:)

Wow i have a 2004 limited awd that gets advertised gas mileage,and is not loud or rumbly.
There must be a problem with yours....

hi ...i have a 2004 awd limited... i have a high rumblin too (cause by wind noise on the top cornner wind shield ) there nothing the dealer can do for this problem ....and for the gas i get pretty good mileage.....

I just bought an 06, and I'm suposed to pick it up today. I'll let you know about the gas mileage. As far as wind noise goes, all I can say right now, is that the test drive was very quiet, and I loved the sound of the engine under load.

I will post back in a week and let you know what I think.

Well if first impression are anything,,,,,, I love it. I took a gamble when I bought this one, because the only one the dealer had on the lot, was an 05. I liked that one so much, I said order me an 06. The ride is very smooth, and runs very quiet at 60 mph, 100K. I turned the radio off, and my wife and I, could easily carry on a soft conversation with no difficulty what so ever.

I'll report back on gas mileage in a week or so.

when i had my endeavor the engine was loud to most mitsubishis are, also the gas milage was in around 16-19 mpg not to great, but overall i loved it. But i traded it in an got an outlander. I liked the outlanders styling better, and it has some more aftermarket parts and all for it. Plus i think the awd in the outlander is much better than the endeavors awd..being its the evos awd. Plus the main reason its made 100 percent in japan....the endeavor is only like 40 percent made in japan. If you cant tell by that im not a fan of american made cars whatso ever ahah....

I do have a hid kit still that i had used on my endeavor if anyones interested email sabres845@cs.com..will set it for pretty decent price with two sets of bulbs plug n play application
