When I went to start my car this morning the SRS light and Check Engine light came, so I called a friend and he told me to disconnect the battery and reset the ECU which I did. The lights are gone but now it will not Idle at all, at first if I had the A/C on it would idle but it won't even do that now. Is there a way for me to reset my Idle?? Thanks for any help.

How do you reset the ECU on my Galant? Don't know if I did it right.

welcome aboard. take it to autozone if you have one near you and see if they will run a diagnostics on it it may not show anything since the light is off but they will check it for free.

keep in mind when you reset the ecu the car is gonna run like ****... it is supposed to. the new computing system gathers alot of data before it adjusts anything. by reseting the ecu it forgets all that it learned and goes back to default settings. just drive it and it should learn its way out of the problem. and if the check engine light comes on there is a much better way of turning it off. like looking at the code and seeing why it sent the code might be a smart idea. then tell the computer to clear the code not just forget the code.
