should i get the new 2006 eclipse gt V6? i'm tempted and already put a deposit to hold it. it's pearl color and its got EVERYTHING. heated seats,sunroof,subwoofer. it's VERY nice i just dont know if its worth 26,000. what do you guys think?

deff a cool car, not my personaly pefrence for the money spent, but deff a cool car.

cool car but you all know for that money Ill keep my EVO that only cost $22k and was just barly broken in.

they are nice but not my cup of tea I guess you would say. for $26k if you want a fast car or on that you can make fast that might be fast but it will be hard to make faster, the EVO is faster and is easy to make even faster. If you want luxary and sporty the eclipse is it. Unless your me then I would buy a Audi S4 or a SLK 320 Kompressor with AMG or something but its your choice the car is nice and it is brand new

well now i'm definately thinking about it but i want to look around. and now i heard that if i get a GT it will **** up my insurance :( i'm going to go look around at dealerships tomorrow since there wont be any salesman there to bug me. and EVO's arent around anymore right?> like they dont make them anymore? i mean i could get the GS for cheaper but its the SAME as my car but newer. i have a 2000 mit. eclipse GS. but mine is defective so i guess new is better? i dont know i need advice.

Ya they made EVO VIII 2003-2005 and now 2006 has the EVO IX.
and they have a few trims too
03 EVO VIII only
04 EVO VIII only

05 EVO VIII RS
05 EVO VIII
05 EVO VIII MR edition

06 EVO IX RS
06 EVO IX
06 EVO IX MR edition

The EVO IX has a bigger turbo and MIVEC head so it is faster by far, the RS is the base model it is stripped of all options and hte MR has a 6 speed tranny vs a 5 and it has better suspension and lighter roof.

The 05 VIII has a bigger compressor housing than the 03/04 EVOs also 05 was the first to offer the RS and MR. there are a bunch of other small things no need to get into though
