I put togther my own in the past and I spend $3500 for most of the parts needed a turbo kit was $4500 and is alot nicer to look at. If I were to do it again id just buy a kit. It is alot less work and everything will fit

I think it all depends on what type of turbo you plan on putting in your car. Some turbo's are alot easier to deal with if they have better fitement. In which case you might want to do it in parts because you can get the exact parts that you want and for better deals.

thats not true...... ok look at my Kit john for my GS then go look at tearstone kit his was only $1000 more instead of what I paid for mine his will make alot moere power than mine i peiced to gether his will fit right in mine needed to be moddified and all custom piping made. the Turbo has nothing to do with it... it is more with your while to buy a kit. you will get better parts at least piping and it WILL look alot better

PSI has nothing to do with weather you peice it together it has to do with what your motor can handle.

If you peice it together it will be much more time consuming it will be a pain in the balls you will need alot of custom work and knowledge, you chances of blowing the motor are much greater than a kit.

I speakinf from experience spend the extra money and buy a full kit. I peiced a turbo kit together fro $3500 with out exhaust and IC pipeing and fuel pump. I took almost 6 months to peice all parts together then I had to do all the custom work to test fit it and thinkg WILL NOT fit in without custom work. all in all it would have taken us about 7-9 months before the turbo was installed then tuning wo0uld be next. when I could have called Russ from Tearstone had my kit shipped out installed and running withing a month and it looks MUCH better than what I had. It will look like a mess on parts that you can peice in because you need to make it fit where the kits are designed for perfect fitment and best power gains out of it.
