When you turn off the engine, the fan continues to run, now up to 12 seconds. It's unusually load at least it seems to me. I opened the hood and had my wife kill the engine and I could feel the air blowing on my hand.

It's a 2003 Outlander and we have had it for over 1.5 years and it's just started doing this in the last month. Doesn't matter how long it runs, if the A/C is on, if it's hot or cold outside.

Brought it to the dealer and it wouldn't do it. Brought it back home and it does it every time.

Any thoughts?

That happened on with my Galant..never with the Outlander yet.
It's really weird that it started after a year.

Just took my Outlander to the dealership for some keyless entry reprogramming and they found a cooling switch recall, look into that.

Cooling Switch? That might be new.
Crap.....my temp gauge would read hot all the time for about a week. I parked my car in the garage one night and heard this bubbling from the engine.....it was hot as hell in there. I brought it to Mitsu the next day to find out that some relay jammie went bad and that the fan was not going on to cool the engine.

They actually called my house. They had my phone number from when they replaced it, but they called to say there was a recall going on.
