whats so great about the gt35r is that its a huge turbo, yet it uses ball bearings (expensive) to help it spool up fast. any non-ball bearing turbo that size wuld take forever to spool. i think 56-60 trim turbos are better for fwd than a 16g because the lag will help with wheel spin. but regardless, id reccomend a 16g to anyone as a first turbo upgrade. as for running 10 second quarter miles, you will never be able to without the tuning knowledge. thats why its so important to start with a 16g and max it out. if you can run 11's on a 16g, you know what you are doing, and are ready to upgrade. i doubt anyone running a gt35r even would run anything better than 12's if they dont thoroughly know how to tune. (this all applies to dsms, im sure it would be a bit easier on evos) now, as for these turbos you ask of, 16g, 20g, t3, t4 etc, there are tons of different sizes among them, these refer to outer dimensions, and different size/types of compressor blades are what make the difference. i know there are plenty of good links out there explaining all this maybe il find one later.

also you have to remeber that just getting a turbo is NEVER enough. You must get all the supporting mods to go along with this. Such as fuel upgrades. Internal upgrades, ect

Ya I agree. that 16G is the way to go.. I know for a fact ive seen an EVO with a 35r only runa a 12.7( no tuning knowledge or driving for that matter) Ive seen 16g powered EVOs running mids 11s.
