I took off my air filter and there is oil running down into it......Any one know what causes that and how to fix it?

Sounds like a PVC valve. This item should be changed every 30K miles or one a year. Whichever comes first.

Okay maybe the guys down here at the shop dont know what thay are saying but the guy told me the PVC valve is suposed to let oil into the airfilter.....Is that true,and if so why?

okay one guy said PCV and the other guy said PVC....The repair shop said it was a PCV valve...I bought one thismorning and have yet to put it on,Lets hope it helps

PCV= Positive Crankcase Ventilation

PVC= Water and sewer lines

and a pcv valve DOES let blowby gases to be recirculated back through the engine.
