Im buy a 2001 eclipse, and I've heard horror stories about them but i'm willing to cope with this sexy beast.

I was hunting for a 99/98 model, but i can't find any (unfortunatly, they were never produced in Canada) so i'm stuck w/ a 2001 (not that i dont like it either of course)

Pretty much i'd like to know, what should I know about the car when I go to the dealer on Friday when i look at it and take the test drive. Anything i should look for, any kinks, goods, bads.

Any information you can give me that'd be greatly appreciated

BTW heres the link incase u wanted to see it: http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/details.aspx?vlotid=79460&adid=5145189 keep in mind, its all in Canadian info, so u might need to do some conversions for the mileage.

Thanks!

I have had to 2 3Gs and 1 2G The 3G is a good solid car like all cars you must keep up the maintance DSM's more so than some. Over all decent car not very fast though. I love mine.

ok?

tearstones stuff on a 3G can make ALOT more power than you are making now?!?? even a little more than im making at the moment. the 3G motors are pretty stong stuff espeically the 4G64 motor.

And I just saw the other day that NAPALM (club3g member) has swapped the EVO head onto his built 4G64 in hopes of beaking the 3G power barrior

make sure the body is in good condition I heard there is a connection with the drive shaft and the body I am not sure where it is connecting. but I heard if that connection is loose it will cost you about $1500 and if you dont fix ix the body of the car will be shaking a lot just like a tire problem thats what Iheard wnated you to know.
