Stalling after installing new battery, alt, and belts - 4/24/2006 8:34:03 AM    embassy17   Posts: 2 Joined: 4/24/2006 Status: offline Since my 99 Galant(2.4L) has 100k, I decided to be proactive and install a new alternator, battery, and belts. The car was working fine before I installed everything. After installing everything, now it stalls every now and again w/o any consistency. I removed the alt and battery, took them to Autozone, had them tested, and they were both ok. I put them back in and I still have the same problem. Help:( Could my belts be too loose or too tight?? Bad wiring between the alt and battery. I'm just a weekend repair type of person so any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!! Mike C. Post #: 1

Recommect it and start it up... it may stall instantly... keep it alive with the throttle and go for a drive.
