Strange things seam to be happening to my beast.  first i get no gas mileledge even after changing the plugs, wires, and intake.  Second is that when being steady on the gas the rpms drop leaving me very little power unless i let up on the gas and press back down.  Third is lack of oil getting to the head.  I have changed the oil many times, but after 5 minutes i get lifter noise and have that till i start driving at moderate rpm's.  Please help the cause to keep a dsm on the road.

Dave

Well, I'm no expert, but since I see no replies to your thread I will try to drop you some helpful info as best I can.

If you need tech help on your DSM one of the best/friendliest places I've gone to find help is at www.****s.com

They have tons of information on any type DSM problem you could come up with, and if they don't have a thread on it you can always PM a wiseman or post a thread, and people will jump at the chance to show off how much they know and help you out

Hope that helps you out some..

maybe you have bad fuel lines. i would check the fuel pump, that may be why it wants to bogg out

Sounds like a fuel pump problem...check to see that you're getting fuel pressure through all the lines leading to the motor....also for your lifter trouble I wouldn't worry about it if it isn't too bad....if it is constant even when the motor is warm and is loud I would look at pricing new ones...haven't had lifter trouble yet on mine, but I heard somewhere the 99' model lifters were larger and didn't have the ticking problem....
