I contacted the Alabama Department of Public Safety and was given a swift reply on the matter. Our good ol' underbody neons are illegal in Alabama. It doesn't matter what color they are.

Here is a little information regarding the matter: http://www.ago.state.al.us/oldopinions/9500065.pdf

I guess I'm gonna have to hold off on getting those

I would THINK so, as long as they're not really showing from the outside... I didn't ask them about inside. But I hope not, I have four purple LEDs in my floor, lol.

this brings up the phrase "what they don't know, won't hurt em" so your are legal, I've got blue neons on the seatbelt columns of my galant and I wanna know if those are the legal ones, They can be seen form the outside of the car.

Ah. Well in that case all I can tell you is contact the Alabama Department of Public Safety like I did. Let me know what you find out. **You can e-mail them if you don't want to call them. That's what I did. Look them up online.**

I'm too lazy so I'll just stick to only turning them on in parking lots.

That works. Maybe you won't run into an ass hole cop who bitches for having them on there.

I read something about this before. From what i know if you have them tucked far enough under your car so that you cant actually see the tube and just the glow its ok.... you would have to check though.

Sebba, you're not from Alabama... you're not even from the **** States.. why would you even post here? lol. And if you would have read the original post and read the information given, you would notice that they are all illegal. It doesn't matter if the TUBE shows or not.
