NO boost gauge, EGT, oil pressure, Wideband are what I would do.

I have a boost gauge and my wideband mounted in a pod on top of the steering column I hate the pillar pods

Has anyone ever gotten their turboed car tuned by someone else? Can anyone tell me how much it cost?

Also, another stupid question. I am planning on ordering by gauges really really soon. I was wandering what guages are the most important to have. I know I need the boost gauge. I am just having a hard time deciding, whether I should get a tri-pod pillar or a double pod pillar? What kind of gauges do you guys have inside your car?

Rates are different because some people fly out a specialist to tune the car on the street others can dyno tune it and learn HP#s at that time. I street tuned my SAFCII myself I had no tuneing knowledge other than what I have read and it only took me and hour to tune and maybe and hour to install the SAFC. I know street tunes should be less expensive and dyno tunes are quite pricey

Honestly your best bet is to learn how to tune yourself and that way you can retune the car after each mod. Every mod will change your A\F ratio and haveing an ideal A\F ratio means a difference between making power safly and blowing the motor or drowning it out in fuel and running horrible (not that mods will make a drastic difference but you will have room to make more power off of a tune)

Yeah, I think I am going to purchase the SAFC and the wideband. But damn, they are pretty expensive. Anyway, I was just wandering what guages you guys had because I am having a hard time trying to decide what gauges I should get. I am either thinking about the triple or double. But I just need to know what gauges I really need because I dont want to spend money on a guage I dont really need.

So do you just recommend a boost gauge and if anything else, the oil pressure gauge. I will purchase the wideband along with my SAFC II later. What is the EGT?

I would get a boost gauge, a wideband, and an egt. Oil pressrue is nice but not needed for tuning. Egt is cool becuase you can check for detonation, boost for obvious reasons, and a wideband for your a/f ratio. Oil is good to see if you have any mechanical problems... but the car already has an oil press sensor on it and a light will come on if their is a problem. Water temp isant really needed because your car already has a temp gauge on it. Volts pointless unless your building a huge system or if your not running an alt... line in a stright race car. So to recap get a boost, wideband, and a egt.

What is the EGT? What does it measure? What does it stand for?

Exaust Gas Tempature, The gauge consists of a probe, a bung is welded into your exaust(cyl 4 runner in your hedder, because cyl 4 runs the leanest/hottest) and the probe is screwed into the bung. It mesures the tempature of the gas that is leaving the motor, this is important becuase if your running too lean the temp will be very high (over 1450F...depending on motor). Also it will tell you if your detonating becuase when detonation occurs the ect's drop a large amount.
