I RECENTLY GOT A 99 MIRAGE 1.5L. WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MORE JUICE OUT OF THE ENGINE.... WHAT OTHER ENGINES CAN I FIT IN THIS CAR AND WHAT MODS DO I HAVE TO DO ......
ALL I'VE DONE SO FAR IS PUT AN INTAKE BUT IT SEEMS LIKE THE ENGINE IS NOT GETTING ENOUGH AIR FLOW IN IT.... WHAT SHOULD I DO??... WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT THAT TORNADO THING THAT YOU PUT IN THE INTAKE TO SUPPLY MORE AIR TO THE ENGINE?

first of all that tornado thing is a jip second of all get a full exhaust that should get u pretty good

hey thanks for the tip........ but i have another question! what do you think about those chips that give the car more power? do they really work?

well not those ones off ebay, there called a resistor or sumthin like that, anyway they dont work, now if u give JET a call and see what they can do, but i think u have to send ur ECU in to them and they will tune it and send it back over night.

i was planning on getting a 2.0 from a lancer....... what else do i have to get besides the engine???...... sorry if i sound stupid but i've never installed an engine that doesn't belong in a car.

you've been very helpful so far

i really dont know much about swaping engines, u should ask E Monz57 he will kno im sure, but i think u might have to get like a wiring harness or sumthin like that, oh and where did you get your intake?

Look my friend welcome to mitsu forum , first that tornado think is spent money without results,look they many engine that fit in your mirage

this is the G9 SERIES
1) 4g93
2) 4g94
3) 4g92

G6 series

1) 4g63
2) 4g64

Including the Evo engines I dont know de engine code.

Other thinks all I recomended first what category you really want to go , turbo,N/A or nitrous how much of $$$ you want spent , the more cheap and esy swap is the 4g93 engine

that is 1.8L sohc. You can use your ECU and the ignition system.
