I changed my brakes and everything went fine, until I went to bleed them. Although, they actually bled ok, my brake pedal has almost no pressure. I tried bleeding it 2 different ways (gravity, and with someone helping) both proved futile. I know there are NO air bubbles in the lines and the brakes are hooked up fine as well. The only thing I can think of is that there are two types of fluid mixed in there. I put in dot 3 cause I didn't know what type was in there before. It's just a basic brake system, no ABS. Am I supposed to flush the valves on the Master Cylinder before bleeding the other valves. Should I completely flush the entire system to get rid of the fluid mixture and start over? I need some help cause my brakes suck now.

First off if you are just changing pads and rotors you can get by with never having to bleed them but since you did i would say yes flush the system or double fluid levels are right and that they are bled right next time if you use a clamp to slowly push brake caliper in you dont have to bleed them hope everything works

Start from the farthest away from the master and work your way up. As for the abs and "valves" i dont think you'll have to worry abt that. The car should have came w/ dot 3 already so adding dot 3 you will be alright. Let us know if you have any problems still?
