J/w becuase i have been dead set on getting 18s for a long time and a bunch of body men and my dad have been trying to talk me out of it.....Their biggest arguement is that with getting 18s there isnt enough wall left so the first time i hit a hole the tire will blow and destroy the rim and that it kills the ride in the car....My question is how much did changing your 16" or 17" to 18" affect the ride and handling of the car?? I have a 3k so it has 17s stock , would an inch make that much of a difference?

I dont see why getting 18's would hurt, go for it.

what kind of roads are you driving on? If you have shyt roads I'd be cautious. Remember, with little wheelwell gap to begin with, you're compensating most of that 1"difference in the tire size.

I have 18's on my eclipse...wth the rite tires, handling is nice, but will slow down your acceleration a lil. Shouldt hurt though, watch for pot holes, cause with low pro tires, i hit on, and it burst the bead on my tire...
