I was driving, and my car completely shut off radio,a/c,and lost all power assist. The when I tried to start it back up,nothing happend. The windows/radio/and all power accesories arent working, and the car wont start. All of the lights turn on,and the battery is not dead.Any ideas? Is this a common problem with 2000 Galants.

Sounds like a bad alternator.

Ok,I opened the fuse box and the 30a ignition fuse was blown.I replaced the fuse and the car ran fine for the past 2 days, then today the ign. fuse blew again.I replaced the fuse 3 more times in a row, each time it would instantly blow. The car does not even have a chance to crank over,it just blows the fuses out instantly! What do you think may cause this? Does this still sound like a bad alternator? THanks for the ideas!!!

Well it can get pretty difficult but start by pulling the ignition fuse and put a circuit breaker(or hight amp test light) in its place and start by is connecting connection on that circuit and if the light goes out the short is after the connector you just disconnected. Its hard to explain and best left to a dealer.
