Do spark plugs on a 3g eclipse really matter. I am buying new ones, and i see ones for 28 a piece, and i see for 2 a piece. Do the yreally make a difference, and any suggestions of what brand to go with?

Some are made with different elements to last alot longer then others, others are hotter or colder for performance reasons. If your non turbo, and you want perforance get some hot plugs, if your a daily driver just get something decent so at least they will last a while.

i usually just get the average ones. The 2 dollar ones wont last as long. I would just go with the $5-10 ones. They'll work just as well as any

The more expensive ones are the plats. Most cars nowadays require plats. I myself am running NGK V Power plugs in my Conquest. The platinum plugs will last longer but cost more.

and spark plugs do not give you any more performance. they will only give you back the performance that you lost with your old spark plugs getting old.

if you are still stock(or mostly stock), you have no reason to buy $28 a piece spark plugs.

Yeah replacing plugs will return lost performance (Had a guy on another of the forums I visit almost launch a Taurus off the ramps with what he thought was the right amount of gas for the ramps).

Save your money and stick with NGK...I've made the mistake of putting the fancy Bosch Platinums in my 3G...made it run like crap.
Don't forget to gap the plugs appropriatley too!
