Audi S4 is awesome... The 2000 model is cheap as hell over here.

Ill just ask in here instead of making a new thread..

I am looking at a 1991 Eclipse GSX, the car looks fantastic, and its rather cheap too. The only "problem" is that it has 145.000 miles on the clock. I know that the 4G63 engine is very strong, except for the valvelifters, and i see alot of galants with that engine that has like 190.000 on the clock, and still runs great. I am more afraid of the transmission. Mitsubishi is known for having problems with the tranny, and i guess that the Eclipse is no exception.

Im not looking for like 400-500hp, i was thinking more like around 250ish.

Should i do it, or leave it?

I would do it if it is the right price... it has a 6bolt motor which is very well built, No galants have that motor unless they are VR4 Galants but either way the motor should be fine. Do a compression test see what you get for #s

Well in Europe the Galant GTI has the 4G63 with 150hp.

Anyway, its for sale for $3k, but i might get it for $2500.

Does any other Mitsubishi models use that gearbox the Eclipse use?
