REcently ( two weeks ago) I bought a used 2003 evo 8. The car drove fine and pulled hard to the redline, etc..... Knowing that I was going to hit the strip and turn the boost up I knew a clutch had to be first. Well when the shop dropped my tranny I found out I have a 2005 transfer case in my 2003 evo. How is the 05 TC even working since it has an ACD which 03's don't, has an additional oil pump that supplies it oil, etc...and a bleeder valve. Has anyone ever heard of anybody doing this before on thier evo? Sounds like to me previous owner broke TC and picked this one up cheap somehow and then traded the car in...... WEll can anybody tell me if this is doable. What will the damage be since I don't have $2,300 to buy a new 03 TC right now? My car is going back to the dealership on Monday and I haven't driven the car a 1000 miles yet, so they should have to se this problem straight right? Please any help is appreciated. Thanks
