Fixin to attempt auto to manual (5 speed) swap. I've got a '93 GS 4G63 with a bad automatic, and a '90 1.8 with a 5 speed and a blown head gasket. I think everything will work, but not sure how the ECM is gonna do and what to do with the xtra plugs on the wiring harness. Any help is appreciated.

Simply use the search bar... it should not be tried because its so much time and money to get it right

Well I appreciate the opinion but it is now 1/2 done. All I have left to do is the pedal assembly and master/slave cylinders for the clutch.
Tranny matches fine, replacement starter, shifter and cables found in local self service junkyard, flexplate and clutchkit courtesy of Ebay. So far ......piece of cake. Now the fun begins ....under the dash. Gotta remove the steering column to get the peddle assembly out and the new one in. The source I am using said I didn't have to replace the ECM but just to jumper the 2 black wires on the inhibitor plug and this would enable the starter...............Any constructive opinions?????????

Could you have not sold the car and simply got a manual?

dude no you need to shut up. youre such a downer. its not always about looking for the easiest way seb. he said hes already half done. your criticism("Could you have not sold the car and simply got a manual? ") really gets nothing accomplished except for the fact that you now have one more post. And its not even constructive criticism, its just being a jerk.

Your input was finished at

"Simply use the search bar... it should not be tried because its so much time and money to get it right "
