Can anyone tell me exactly where to find this freewheel cluctch switch. I have a 00 montero sport and I'm having that 4X4 light blinking and the anti lock light comes on so the solution on this forum was the switch so now I need to know exactly where to look and how to get to it (do i need to remove other parts). Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Should be on the top of the passenger side of the front differential case. Look above/in front of the vacuum canister. You might have to remove the skid plate in order to get good access to it. Hope this helps!

The dealership should have a drawing and other info if you stop in. They let me see the schematic to my 94 3.5 Montero. Then they can tell you how long it should take to replace it.

I found this site.
http://www.pajero.dn.ru
And
http://www.pajero.dn.ru/pdf

Maybe you could join up with them and swap PDF files.
The Pajero isn't 100% same as the Montero, but a lot is close enough to work on.
A bunch of the guys there love thier Pajeros. Seem like helpful dudes,

Eric

One item of note... In my experience with pajero's, montero's or dodge raider's if they have the same engine, then they are pretty much identical with the exception of some minor trim differences and badging.

Montero Sports are only sold in N. America.

Mitsu Triton's aren't sold in N. America.

Mitsu Montero Diesel's aren't sold in N. America.
