what's up everyone!
got a stock 2000 eclipse v-6, with 80,000+ miles. i've always had the car maintained at dealerships for maintenance. just yesterday, my car wouldn't start. checked all fuses, everything is fine. got new battery and slapped it in(old battery was 3yrs+ old). car now cranks up fine and rides fine. but when coming to a stop light and/or just letting the car run idle, it's falling below the 600-800rpm mark, and it's cutting off. what do i do to increase the idle. BTW-it idle's fine in park and neutral and mostly reverse, but when put in drive, within two minutes, it slowly gets to the point of cutting off. NEWBIE NEEDS HELP!!!

Sounds to me like you may have a small leak somewhere, maybe in the intake manifold or something. If your just idling, then rev it up, does it want to stall or drop in rpm's once it comes back down?
