2001 eclipse:when driving at night, with my lights on, my left tail light wont turn on. when i apply the brake, both tail lights turn on fine. whats the problem? i keep getting pulled over for that. please help before i lose my license.

Um, just a thought...but you MAY have a blown bulb....Both lights work with brake pedal, but only one lit while sittin...need a bulb, Manny...they're cheap...so no big deal...

no, its not the bulb. i changed the bulb 4 times and i get the same problem(two 2 packs). the bulb cant be blown because its the same bulb that lights up with the brakes. where can i get a diagram of the wiring? maybe theres a short? i dont know...is there a fuse for this i havent found?

you will not lose your license for a taillight out.

Well, I am at a loss...I guess get a Chiltons manual (if you don't have one) and check there...I have no clue dude, sorry I can't help

would you like to join me in court on july 6? 1 pm kane county court house. ill be needing a ride home.....since i will be losing my license....and ill be needing $95 for the fine. this is my second offense

yeah, thank 98mits, i picked up a chilton manual this weekend, i just havent gotten around to it. i was hoping thered be more people like you on this forum but some people arent here to help, just to waste space(eclipsd4you)

i dont know what else could cause that besides either a fuse, or a wiring issue. But i thought that only one fuse would control the entire light. However it isnt impossible that there could be separate fuses for each
