I live in Ontario, Canada and I purchased a 2006 Eclipse GT last year. Now that I see many more cars like mine on the road, I am thinking about changing the car's appearance up with some nice chrome rims. My current wheel size is P235/45R18 94V.

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions anyone has to offer before I purchase the rims. I am still not certain the best way to even obtain chrome rims. I know the dealer carries them and I know I can order online from Pep Boys.

Thanks

thats a decision that you have to make on your own, we cant tell you what rims to buy, just got to like tirerack.com or tires.com and do a search based on your car... it's all about personal preference

if you like to drive fast, or autocross or basically anything related to racing, you will definately not want chrome wheels. theyre very heavy and actually make a different in how your car responds.
Plus IMO, chrome is seriously going out of style and its getting kind of...whats the word.....tacky...

and like rcjr said, go to tirerack.com. you can see what the wheels look like on your car before you buy them.

Thanks for the advice. If chrome is starting to go out of style, what's in now? Should I just stick with the light weight Aluminum rims?

its not really that chrome is out of style. Its all in taste. But performance wise they are very heavy, therefore bad. I would just get a nice set of alloy rims. Maybe like an 17-18" rim. That will give you the look and the performance.

dude, dont' try to be "in" be YOU!! don't do what everybody else is doing, if everybody did the same thing nothing would ever evolve.

If you like mine in the pic i can give you the details. Well what i have found you can always find something you like that goes with the "in" as well as your taste. I think gunmetal is in for the moment.
