The fmu is just a rising rate pressure raiser and belongs in the return line, not as a direct replacment(unless you have a sfmu... but that calls for a different install) For any 96+ 420a you can use the stock fpr and fuel filter and splice the fmu in the return line(thats where it belongs). If your on your back looking at the unit you will see the feed line going into the right side of the fuel filter, connected to the left side of the fuel filter(black bullet looking thing) is the fuel pressure regulator. That has a hose comming out of the top and the side. The side hose goes to the rail, the top hose is your return line. Its 1/4 inch hose that goes to the left hook up on the fuel tank. You need some hose clamps, 1/4 fuel hose, and make sure you have 1/4 inch barbs on the fmu and splice in into the return line under the car. A good mounting spot is the vertical spot right to the left of the whole assyembly(which would be right under the back passanger seat. After that the fun part is running a vac hose to the unit, do not splice a vac line from the brake booster, it has check valves in it and your car will never see high fuel pressure.
