Hey guys, I know these questions have been said before but i wanted to know exactly what i am getting into. I am now a proud owner of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS which is stock. It has a warranty of 60,000miles on engine and transmission so i will be waiting for that warranty to distinguish then i will be putting on a turbo. Right now, I am interested on whats out their and seeing where i need to set my sites on how much its going to cost. I was looking into buying a 16g turbo kit and changing out the intake, manifold, exhaust, etc. But, what our the best turbos out their and what will give me results with stock internals. Also, does anybody know any engine shops down in miami or tampa area in florida? Thanks.

tearstone.com, also talk to emonz he had a boosted 3g 4g64 before so I am sure he would shead some light on the subject for you. What I can tell you is that your motors boost limit is 15psi, its week point in the single over head cam, any mitsu heavy industrys turbo or garrett turbo is a good turbo, size depends on what you want to do with the car. The whole setup will run around 3g +/- a few hundred bucks... probally +. Lastly makes sure you get someone to tune it, thats a must.

sts specalizes in rear mount turbo systems for gm and ford cars. Also their products suck for what they do. A rear mount turbo is probally the worst thing ever. the intake is under tha car exposed to more rain water then it rightfully should, you have to run terribly long oil lines along with charge pipes. A good point to being mounted in the back is that the turbo wont get heat soaked so fast, but the heat exchange at the manifold actually decreases spool time... thats what we call a catch 22. Tubural or log style exaust manifold into a turbo is the corn.
