and xtreme you should look into jestrtuning.com or ttp-engineering.com they are both good. i am debating between them but i like the ecuflash one cause if gives you the ralliart evo9 maps too.

Vishnu claims, after the flash adding 100 horsepower, my Evo IX should pull 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and the quarter-mile in 12.3. That's pretty good for just exhuast, intake, and a reflash. They also add a passive boost control solenoid but I'm not sure what that is all about.

HOLY NACO LIRBE!!!!!!!!!!!

i hate to be a noob but whats MIVEC and where do i get it? lol
[/quote]
easy terms it is the Head on the EVO IX and it is not worth the cost to do a swap.

so you're saying if i tried to get the MIVEC for my 8 it wouldn't be worth it? or youre saying it IS worth it. cause i'd only get the MIVEC if a reflash was coming right after.

thoughts?

I've looked into many different options for an ECU reflash and I've heard nothing but great things about the ECU reflash from Vishnu. I'm not sure about the two you mentioned but let me know what results you get and we can compare...if we can find a dyno.

I'm not sure about the cost of swapping the head on your EVO but there's more involved than just a swap. For one, you would have to get an ECU from an Evo 9 because the EVO 8 doesn't have the same number of fuel maps.
