The evoIII is much better then the t25, basically after 18psi ish it falls flat on its face. Also I hope you have a fuel system to be running 27 psi. The stock fuel system maxes out at 17, anything after that the motor runs lean. If you did a pull at 27psi with the stock fuel system your exaust valves are probally burnt white and you lucky you didnt melt a piston.

well my dad had a mbc and gauge in his gsx but the stock bov. The mbc was set to max but never went over 12psi cause of the bov. Well he bolted on a Greddy BOV and didnt lower the boost controller. He drove it and got to about 27 when it hit a fuel cut, he did it 2 times. We also didnt get home for another 30 mins and he kept bringing it up to about 20psi before letting off the gas. The car seems fine tho. I have a tsi awd and i set my mbc for 17psi. He is kinda excited and has his set for 18psi. I said he should lower it but he doesnt want to. So i figured what ever. I drive my car harder than him so i have to make sure my boost is set right. But yea after our exhausts a fuel system , safcII and wide band are on thier way

boost gauge will tell him that its lowered. Dosent matter, I bet a dollar that everything is going to be alright as long as he puts the right gas in it. They say that 17 is the max so naturally people assume that 18 psi is going to kill it and run 16/15. I think the case its rather different. I think that the motor will hold 19 for a while with out a problem. At 18 he should be alright for some while. Personally I wouldent run over 17 but 1 psi isant goint to ruin the world. After all he did 2 pulls well over 20 psi and then kept it around there for a while on the way home. This in no way is me recomending that you run your car that high but 18 should be alright.

idk its his car, but i am going to stick to 17psi on 89 octane untill i up my fuel system etc. Say i get the right fuel system, will my turbo hold 20psi every day? i just like the spool up time and thats why i dont REALLY want to switch to a 16g but if i got to then i guess i got to.lol

is 89 the best you can get, if not, then why are you getting 89. I know that the manual says somthing like that is the minimum i think, or maybe its 91. I dont totally remember. But in any case, i would only get the best octane availible, especially now days with all the additives they put in it
