i have a 1990 GSX with a '95 motor and tranny adn a '92 ECU. i am in th market for a piggy back system(looking at the Greddy E-Manage ultimate) i also want an indash comuter that will work with it. this is what i had in mind:

and for the compter i would say just get a laptop because youll want it to be portable. cuz youll have to go online with it ocassionally either to get stuff from others or to play around with it outside the car.

Also why do you have a swapped in 7-bolt into a 1g. That sounds like a pretty dumb thing to have done

well ussually people will swap the 1g engine into the 2g mostly to eliminate the issue of crankwalk, but your car being a 1g they may have done some of the small things to try and avoid it such as new berrings and oil squirters. But i dont know. The early 1g's actually had better internals as well i believe.
