you think it would be close near the end? i was sayin by 1/4 track the challenger would have caught up with the evo.. but after that the evo would be at full spool and pull away

OMG you havnt driven an awd car then. Its the start well he will get the 3 car lengths. It really doesnt take very long to hit full spool. Cutrianly not 1/2 track length

It may be true the Evo pulls better off the line but if the Dodge Challenger has some fatty tires in the back it will still be able to pull almost as quick as the Evo out of the hole.

They are supposed to be 21's for the back tire size, so It doesn't look like they're skimping on the rubber even though no specific sizes are given. Those tires may make for an easier launch, but if I'm not mistaken, will make it a bit slower on the takeoff- the payoff will be in the top speed(174 MPH)

Well, I'll say this....If I get beat by a challenger I'll buy a *fill in the blank* and go race him a second time with a sure win!!!!

your struggling here man.

An EVO will hit full spool right off of a good launch that is instantly. an AWD launch will SMOKE RWD with street tires from a stop. the AWD has more drivetrain drag so after about 50MPH the AWD car will not pull as hard as it did to get to 50mph. That is why the EVOswill own an SRT4 from a stopbut from a 40+ mph roll the EVOs either win barley or lose.

My car to me feels slow in 3rd gear bit pulls great in 2nd.

Emonz is right about getting to 50mph. When racing the S2000 I pulled almost 3 car lengths just getting to 50mph. After that I pulled on him but not near as quick as I was getting to 50mph.
