2000 Montero Sport keeps blinking the 4x4 light, and after 15-20min of driving the "ANTILOCK" lights up solid. By going into 4wd (also turns the 4wd light solid) or restarting the truck, the "ANTILOCK" light goes out while the 4x4 light flashes. Just had transmission flushed and differential fluid change. Could that have anything in common w/ problem? 4x4 engages and seems to disengage ok. Just the 4wd light flashes. And not flashing all the time, but getting to be more and more often.

Likely your freewheeling switch on the front diff is bad....unplug wire connection socket under vaccum can on Pass side wheel well....no more flashing or anti lock brake light coming on....switch is easy to replace and about 50.00 from dealer...

I had the same problem & unplugging that switch really does it. You access it by lifting the rubber flap right beside the passenger front tire, in the wheel well. Lift the flap in the middle of the well & you will see a canister about 7 inches long laying on its side. The switch is right in front of & at the base of the canister looking at it from the outside of the tire. Press down on the top of the left side of it to release the catch & pull it apart.
