I would rather have a 97-99 gsx or gs-t spyder, but there are none for sale near me. I also don't want to wait until my other car is sold because that could be a while. The only thing available in my area are the 3G's and not many of them. So I'll wait and get a gsx when I can.

the 3g has plenty of potential but why go from a vr-4 to a 3g?

werd, anyway the 4g64 is very reliable and basically just look for normal things when buying it. oil level, look for oil under the car, see how she drives, check for uneven tire wear.

3G's are awesome reliable cars as are most mitsubishis. My mom is the owner of a 2003 Eclipse and has had no problems whatsoever. They are great cars and I would highly recommend one especially the V6. Good choice IMO. Also I think its better than buying a used 2G because you will most likely get one with the electrical problems or it will be beat to hell.

the 4g64's are pushin close to the same HP as the 6g72's when it comes to forced induction so keep that in mind. also its easier to do an evo swap if you just get a gs eclipse. the turbo kit for the 6g72 runs about $5,000 plus install and tuning. the kit for the 4g64 is much less expensive. P.S. do not get an RS model.
