Ok, so i signed up here and posted in the newb section.

Like stated my name is Matt, im a Ford/Toyota tech. I know little to nothing about Mitsu.

I have a Mustang... im not comming into here putting anyone down and im not saying im the quickest street car out there.

Just a few questions.

New guy at work has a... 200? Mitsu Eclipse. V6... but not the brand new bubble looking ones? So maybe 2004? Anyways... i asked him about it today and we chatted. Said he has a bunch of apperance mods, carbon fiber stuff, spoiler, hood, wheels... list goes on. Also has some sound to go with it. I asked about go fast mods... he said. Exhaust, CAI, and 75 shot. Asked him how much he was dyno'ing... said no clue. But he did tell me he was running a 12.1/12.4 at the 1/4.... i called BS. Maybe someone will post back saying its possible. Im not sure... but i called BS. Then asked him to come to Street night at our local strip and let me test it. I told him i would run him without my nitrous and he could use his.

So... how much HP do you think he is pushing to the wheels... and a guess at a 1/4 time? I have run Turbo honda's and Integra's and beat them. Also an older Eclipse with only exhaust, timer, BOV, piping and a lil more. My N/A 13.4 to his 13.8. I was impressed and know there are others running 11's and i wouldnt even try. [:D] 2 of my friends own them ( one of them the 13.8) and i love getting rides because of the AWD. [:)]

Hey, well i agree with you. From what i can tell you are refering to the 3g Eclipse V6. They are generally pretty slow and i highly doubt that it could be running near that time. I assume you are talking manual trans. I think he would be pushing like 230 to the wheels just a guess. I have no clue about 1/4 time but if i had to say i would say around 14sec

I would have to agree, with only the CAI, exhaust and 75 shot there is no way he could run 12's, especially with out some form of drag tires.

yeah 230whp with nitrous sounds about right but that car would be doin 14's

the fastest street 3G eclipses out there are hardly in the 11s on an average. no way a stock motord V6 is hitting low 12s... I have owned one in the past and it takes a $6+ supercharger or turbo kit to hit low 12s

Dont worry about us taking offence, we know 3gs are slow lol. What we do take offence to is ignorant people running their mouths without knowing what they are talking about. Everyone remember 363Nova?

yea thats BS. He sounds like a nice ricer with all those ugly exterior mods. I would just race him and destoy him.

Well depending what the mustang has it could be close.

I saw a 2001 SPYER(~4000lbs car) with CAI and cat back and it was a slow auto race and beat a late 90s GT with exhaust.
