Can the dust shields be removed when installing new slotted rotors or should they be left on?

i think it's either take them off while installing then put them back on, or just clean them and keep them there while putting them on.

So I can't just remove them completely? They look stupid, I'd rather just see the rotors.

So I'm gussing that's a yes you can just remove them if you want to clean your rims. But isn't that fun, i like shiny stuff. on my old car i had them off, and i used them to tell when i should wash my car lol.

Better brake pads equal less cleaning
But yeah, when the wheels are dirty, it's time for a bath anyway.

I certainly would- drilled/slotted rotors are a nice cosmetic touch aside from the better performance aspect.
