Max'd the speedo in my 79 Camaro which was 125 I believe while living in CT...(in 1980 they got the queer 85 MPH speedos) with plenty of room still under the gas pedal since I had terrible 2.43 "economy" gearing still in the rear end. I only slowed because my suspension was scary as hell- front shocks had me feeling like I was on a cruise ship with rough seas. In my Outlander 110 is the fastest I have gone and the car surprisingly is very stable at high speeds, I don't have many open stretches of freeway that aren't heavily patrolled by cops here in CA.

well even though all of our speedos dont read accurately at those speeds anyways, and we would need a GPS system to tell how fast we are ACTUALLY going...I had my Stealth at 155 on my speedo racing my Lancer Ralliart and a V6 Tiburon on our way to MOD LAST year. It was middle of day and the 3 of us hit a patch about 3-5 miles between us and any other cars so we all decided to have some fun and play around. It was on the 15 Northbound in the middle of nowhere. We had to stop when we caught up to traffic. Took a little to get there, but got there was was still slowly accelerating. If I was to GUESS I would say my REAL speed was 140+ish. Still plenty fast. I usually test out my cars once when I own them. My 97 Spyder GST I got to 145 and slowed down. My old 1977 Trans Am with the 403 big block saw 150ish also. I dont drive fast often but for each car I open it up once. The fastest I ever did in my car after TT install was 130...and I got there MUCH MUCH faster than I did before the TT swap...lol...duh.

125 in my '03 Sentra down 95. I was running late to get another car the guy was leaving at 6 A.M. and I needed to meet him. It was raining and 95 was clear of traffic. Hammer down 125 for at least a good 20-30 minutes driving.

I'm not sure what speed but I got anywhere between 90 and 130 in my '64 Dodge Coronet. 318 WB with a little 2 BBL carb. At about 75-80 MPH the needle for the speedometer starts bouncing back and forth. The speed I was at the needle bounced between 90 and 120. At that point it felt like I was in a boat the front swayiung up and down. Scared the shyt otta me so I slowed down.

'88 Connquest 110 MPH. Don't have the cajones to go any faster quite yet. Need to get the car up to par before I go any faster. It shakes bad as it sits over 80 MPH. BTW I was racing a Camaro at the time I hit 110 and he was looking at my taillights.
