I have a 1997 Montero SR and I need the right front window regulator I am trying to avoid the dealer price, so my question is , does any other model or year fit the 1997 SR without any problem?

I guess that the 1997, 2000 and 2001 montero use the same regulator?

try car-part.com or msrecycling.com or last but not least your local pick and pull salvage yard. Any gen II montero's setup should work (not sure if it has to also be a power setup or not).

its doubtful the 01 would fit, as its a totally new body style.

well it must because if i do a part search for this specific part for a 1997 it came up with parts from a 2000 and a 2001 that would work. Its not really a complicated part so i dont think its to wierd that they would use the same one for all the years.

the door is a totally new door design.
Although its possible, I very, very much doubt its the same. why not call your local dealership? then you'll get the answer for sure.
