Yeah, it has REALL uscked this past week cause of Hurricane Frances! Had 4 houses burn down because of live powerlines being blown down. And then all the stupid people call in "Can you tell me what the weather is going to be like tommorow?" "Sure, just let me pull my crystal ball out of my ass real quick!" Ok sorr...had to vent for a sec. Man, it's GREAT to be back on day shift!!! (please note the sarcasim)

Hey 1398 thanks for the PM and the questions you have about my job, there are a lot of personal protection companies out there, you just have to do alot of research into each company and try and weed out the bullshit ones! I was like you, I was in the armed forces but I was in the special forces branch of the NAVY(seal) for the last four years of duty and my ultimate goal when my tour was over was to join the CIA as a black ops but you have to know someone on the inside for that job! My CO was good friends with the recruiter and he set up an interveiw. The interview was very hard they conducted An IQ test, hand eye cordination tests, memory tests, complete physical and physical fitness test. Once I was offered the job they told me to report to West Virginia for 6 months of training. The training consisted of: CORPORATE AIRCRAFT SECURITY MANAGING SECURITY SYSTEMS ADVANCED PISTOL DEFENSE PERSONAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST VIP PROTECTION AGGRESSIVE DRIVING CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT COUNTER TERRORISM ADVANCED MAP AND BLUEPRINT READING AUTOMATIC WEAPONS TRAINING So you see its not a job you just walk in and apply for, its something you have to put alot of time and thought into especially if you have a wife our kids or even a girl friend your serious about because you are always on call. You usually have a choice you could relocate to a state that needs a full time body gaurd or you can be on call 24hrs a day, alot of the guys stay on call but if you choose being on call there are those times when you get that phone call at 3am and have to go and you dont know when youll be home, thats why I say make sure you put alot of time and thought into it ! The pay is outstanding the benefits are great you get to see the world fly in private jets ride in limo's hang out on yachts meet famous people but at the same time you have to remember, the reason your on the job is your client has either had his/her life threatend in the past or feel their life is in danger now! So the danger is real and their is always that thought in the back of my mind that I may take an assignment and my never see my wife again. So take your time, feel some companies out go over it with your significant other and dont be in a hurry!!! Good Luck! If you have any more questions just write. If it takes me a while to write back its because im on call!
