Tuner car to me is

a car that can be modded easy to be fast (almost any FI car)

All turbo cars since hefty tuning is involved in life and power of the motors

Hondas not so much tuner cars to me they are more of a Daily driver deal (not saying some arent fast but to me they are a waiste of money)

a tuner car IMO is something that has actually gone through some form of fuel tuning... or major engine mods

i actually consider most hondas "tuner cars" they own in the NA world for one. and i know a guy that is about to make 400whp on a D16 so i give him respect for that. i just think the fact that they cancelled the RSX, NSX, and s2000 was stupid as hell.

RSX is not a real tuner car although can be fast with a few bolt ons but after than need heavy mods
NSX ya that is awsome
S2000 more of a autoX car than a street tuner the s2000 is compaired with the EVO in many ways but the EVO is a street tuner as well as autoX beast

I think what really makes a tuner car is that it hads the potential to be tuned. Simple as that.

IMO, here are the requirements for a "Tuner" car;

(1.) NOT a domestic vehicle (i.e. no riced out neons, cavaliers, focus, ect)
(2.) A good set of go fast goodies. Doesn't have to be a turbo, but most definetley more than a fart cannon and a SRI.
(3.) A good looking body. Clean, simple and to the point, no over the top paint schemes or wild wide-body conversions, 20" rims on an i4 are never good. It should look good without being an attention whore.
(4.) This is most important IMO, the mindset of the driver/modifier. Don't be a dick because you can own someone, and don't think that there isn't someone out there that will walk you light to light and make your stupidly fast car look like a toy. Be respectful of the car and driver, whether domestic, import, exotic, american muscle, whatever. That's what separates a Tuner from a Ricer. Respect for the individual and the machine that they've took the time to create.
