12 V outlet - 10/1/2006 1:16:09 PM    Talonstorm   Posts: 3 Joined: 10/1/2006 Status: offline Hi. I am new here, just got an '06 Outlander SE on 8/26/06. Anyway, I really hate that the 12 V outlet doesn't have power when the car is off (I like to be able to charge my cell phone or bluetooth headset when I am out of the car). Is there an easy way to re-wire this so it has power all the time? Thanks, Tina Post #: 1

You could tap into another hot wire, but I would say just buy another charger for the home and charge there. Mitsu will not look kindly on you playing with the wires in the dash. All of my other cars had power to the 12 V outlet without the key in and on too. Just one more thing to get used to. I am loving the extra room, my last car was a neon (no neon insults please, this car served me well and was still running perfect at almost 150,000 miles, my sister owns it now) and it was really too small for me and my two dogs.
