hey everyone im goin to get a eclipse and put a sr-20 det engine in it and give me some suggestions of wat u think.... would it matter wat kind of eclipse i got if i was goin to get a new engine? either the rs or gt?

i would go with the gsx, its already turbo awd, and you can upgrade the hell out of em for less money than you would spend buyin an 02 and dropin a new engine in it. they are also lighter weight ( i think) than the 3g's. to buy and upgrade a stock gsx with a completely overhauled engine and tranny, with everything you want on it would most likely still cost less than just the 02, without the new engine, unless you get the rs, and at that point it really just depends on what body style you want, and the stock gsx can hold a very decent amount of hp, without internall mods..........just my thoughts..........

The 4g63 is a very easy car to mod also. You get can get huge hp gains by simple things, then you can get a new turbo, after you do all the necesities, and you can push upto 400hp, if you have the time and money, and that car would be so fast.
