It puts a smile on my face everytime I see this. Just in case you are wondering, yes, I am a Nissan enthusiast. The question, though, is why? You must really be in love with both the body style of the Eclipse and the SR20DET to want to do this kinda project. If I were you, make it easy and find an SR20 powered B13 and throw a turbo on it. It would save you money and give you better results. Plus the B13 is just a sexy looking car (call me crazy).

the sr20 swap isnt that much money for an engine swap..... my friend is in the process of doin his own sr20 swap on a 91 240sx.... he spent 8 grand and it got him ALOT of stuff...... but the engine itself with 30K miles was 1800 and that was including shippin from canada to boston..... and its well worth it.... one of my other friends has the sr20 conversion on a 90 240 and hes beatin the porsche 911's with no problem..... id say its well worth it but i never heard of an sr20 swap in an eclipse.....

Sure, the SR20 is a great and cheap motor, but it might not show to be worth the money. The FWD and RWD SR20s show a difference in power. You might be disappointed... The amount of money you are going to spend is crazy, though. First you have to buy the car, then the engine, and depending on where you go it might not even come with an ecu or wiring harness and sometimes not even a transmission. Then you have to make sure you have axles that fit and probably a few other things that I'm forgetting. If this is what you really want and you have the money, go for it. But like I suggested before, I'd go with a B13 SE-R for about $3000 and upgrade the turbo. You'd get better results...

if Im not mistaken.. its an older model sentra SE-R I want to say late 80's early 90's... I have an '02 SpecV and I think its either at B15 or B16. but it has the QR engine which isn't worth a **** to mod.... you can't boost over 6 psi before you BLOW **** UP.. and they don't make aftermarket internals yet... :(

dude you guys are crazy...... my friend that already did the sr20 swap is showin 347 at the rear wheels on the dyno.... like i said he paid 1800 and that was engine and transmission... and then all the upgrades we stupid **** like a full exhaust system from japan, a 300zx mass air flow sensor, new BOV, just a bunch of little ****..... and he said to put the sr20 in a 240 is real easy he did it himself he said the hardest part of the swap was takin everything other than the engine outta the car...... and hes SMOKIN porsches and vettes and like firebird formulas and stuff like that.....
